Julie & I spent a day here at Lake Vrnwy in Mid Wales on a photographic practice day - so 302 photos later - its been hard to pick just 10 for my walk of the week.
We walked up onto the hills above the lake first of all to find the first part of a geocache hidden here - the views were lovely despite the skies being rather grey & cloudy.
The cairn on the top was quite impressive.
After finding the cache we set of driving around the lake - stopping every so often to take photos.
Thank goodness it was not a film camera as we took loads of these icicles - trying to catch a drop of water falling from them as they were melting in front of our eyes.
A little bit of natural tree sculpture - this knotty bit of wood looks just like a mouse's face!
The blue skies arrived just as it was time to leave! The dam structure is very impressive - we just wish that the water had been coming out through this side today.
