Week 30 walk - Pontcysyllte Aqueduct and Llangollen Canal,Wales.

There was a few glimpses of blue sky so I dashed out to try and grab some photos before the rain clouds returned! Headed just over the border into Wales at the World Heritage site - the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, Trevor basin and then a walk along Llangollen canal.

The famous aqueduct built by Thomas Telford is a fantastic structure - but so difficult to photograph - because it is so big!

There are lots of sculptures dotted around Trevor basin.





The canal on the aqueduct is very narrow - its a tight fit for the boats.


Lots of lovely bridges span the canal.

    fab photos Deb! Love the sculptures!! My friend is going on a canal boat on that canal in a week or two. Looks great fun!

    More gorgeous photos Deb. :) I love the sculpture with the hand and also really like the photo of the bridge where you have focused on the wild flowers in the foreground.
